Munira Soni | Psychologist
I am Counselling Psychologist by profession. I am a team player,I believe there is value in collaboration. Often, two minds are better than one, and as such, working in a team with a collaborative spirit is important when the need arises, especially in the counseling set up.I am confident in my ability to produce results. Of course, situations happen when the results aren’t ideal, and when that does happen, I do my best to tip the hat in a positive direction.
About My Family
We are a team of 4 members. My husband, myself & my 2 creations, son 6yrs & my daughter is 1-year-old, living in a nuclear family setup. We have our challenges, highs & lows, but we have always been a team & hence it’s easier to face and overcome because we all are together in it. We are giving our best to raise 2 amazing and responsible humans in the future.
About My Professional Experience
I have completed Masters in Counselling Psychology at SNDT Women’s University( Mumbai, India) in 2013, and has spent the past 7 years working as a therapist and counselling psychologist in a range of environments. My particular area of interest and expertise is working with children and teenagers. Having worked in an NGO ,I have handled children who were diagnosed with Learning Disabilities, and experienced behavioural difficulties. I also had my private practice in Mumbai. I have worked with multiple firms like Lovedoctor, SHEROES, E- Yogi, SOLS ARC. I currently works as an Online Therapist with RichPsych & United WE Care for a variety of clientele. My biggest achievement was during my internship as a psychologist in a college. I was handed a case of a student ,who had frequent anxiety attack episodes, because her sister was raped by her own father & she had raised her voice, got him arrested , hence the guilt was unbearable for her I felt nervous initially. But I made sure to give my best in this case.I decided to start learning as much as I could about such cases (a social media automation tool) by talking with my professors, when I could, and reading up on everything I could get my hands on that was related to the case. After a while & after multiple & regular sessions, she was coping quite well & managed to clear her exams too which was very difficult as she was failing initially before she started therapy. This case has placed a significance in my professional life, as it boosted my confidence & also instilled a belief that I can.
