Phillip Howe | Social Worker
I have worked in this profession for more than three decades, both in Senior Management, teaching and direct clinical practice. My focus has been on adults, couples and adolescents. It is a privilege to work with people who are trying to improve their situation or that of their loved ones. I have lived and practiced abroad as well as in Canada.
About My Family
I am the proud father of two wonderful boys, one a teen and one in his twenties.
About My Professional Experience
I have more than 3O years of experience working with adults, couples and adolescents. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychotherapy, family therapy and trauma. I am comfortable working with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, family or couple conflict, or dealing with difficult life decisions or events. I have faith in people and am strength based and patient. My approach is to explore the clients’ perception of their struggle, their best hopes for resolution and their expectations of counselling. We will work together on your goals.
About My Fun Side
I love the outdoors, canoeing in Algonquin park, walking my loyal labrador retriever, and just sitting quietly watching the lake or a fire. We are an active family involved in hockey and various sports.
